Meet Our Founder
Jacqueline E. Russell, M.Ed.
Founder & Executive Director,
Young Girls On the Move
Jacqueline E. Russell is an accomplished educator, mentor, and community leader with a Master's Degree in Education and 18 years of experience in elementary and secondary education. As a Florida High Impact Teacher, she has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to academic excellence and student achievement while dedicating her career to empowering young women through education, leadership development, and mentorship.
Â
In January 2022, Jacqueline founded Young Girls On the Move (YGOTM) as an extension of Etiquette on Us, Inc., an organization she established in 2008 to promote character development, leadership, confidence, and personal growth among young ladies. Building on that foundation, YGOTM expanded the mission by incorporating academic support, educational enrichment, and structured mentoring on a larger scale to address the unique needs of middle school girls.
Â
Jacqueline's dedication to education and student success has earned her numerous recognitions, including being named an Orange County Public Schools (OCPS) Teacher of the Year Finalist in 2023 and being recognized as a Florida High Impact Teacher. In addition to her work as an educator and nonprofit leader, she is a devoted wife, loving mother, and published author whose passion for inspiring the next generation continues to transform the lives of young women and their families.
